I have my own Christmas tradition - every year I wear a new dress for Christmas Party to create the most outstanding Christmas Party Look. So it can be quite hard to find the perfect one, and not to be repeated. This year I decided to go for a very classic, old-fashioned dress, that reminds me of the story of Nussknacker und Mausekönig (The Nutcracker and the Mouse King) because I wanted to feel myself like a princess.
As you know from my post BACKSTAGE & PUBLIC CHOICE, I was cordially invited to attend the Frankfurt Style Award Gala this year, which took place on Saturday, September 5th, in Frankfurt Airport. This day Frankfurt Style Award Gala has transformed the Frankfurt Airport into international hotspot and became the highlight of the Fraport Fashion Weekend. The unique creations from 60 nominated fashion designers from all over the world were presented there. And the Gala Show became an official contest, where the finalists were announced and received their awards.
This time I was cordially invited to the Frankfurt Style Award, an International Fashion Event in Frankfurt-am-Main. The Frankfurt Style Award is a good opportunity for young and talented designers to show their masterpieces to the world. Over 60 of the best applicants to the International Award have qualified for the Frankfurt Style Award Finale and they are looking forward to their big appearance in front of an international audience at the festive Gala, where all the guests will celebrate the debut of the next generation of international Fashion Creators and their ideas. Since 2008, this Contest has been blossoming into one of the most important international awards for Fashion & Design in the whole Europe.
The 22th season of RIGA FASHION WEEK took place from 17th till 21st of March. This time during RFW in the fashion centre PODIUM Latvian and invited foreign designers presented their 2015/2016 autumn/winter pret-a-porter collections, - Anna LED, Narciss, Natālija Jansone, Amoralle, Katya Katya Shehurina, Līga Banga, NÓLÓ, Alexandra Westfal, IN by Inga Nipane, it'sME, One Wolf and Paviljons, Pohjanheimo…
The 21st season of RIGA FASHION WEEK took place between October 28 and November 1. During five evenings more than twenty fashion brands demonstrated their spring/summer 2015 collections - Katya Katya Shehurina, Atis Artemjevs, Amoralle, Anna Led, Nolo, Narciss, M-Couture, Sin On the Beach, Dace Bahmann (BeCarousell), Skladnova, Ilya Bulichev (together with Elena Usakova and Elga Homicka), Recycled.lv, Red Salt and QooQoo from Latvia, Ivo Nikkolo and Pohjanheimo from Estonia, Victoria Gres from Ukraine and also Marco Grisolia and ASG from Italy, and this season‘s debutants – Latvian brands LOVERAIN by Nadia Kirpa and Keta Gutmane and Lithuanian brand Daili.
