It’s become a very good tradition on my Blog to write about such useful things, that every blogger should know. For example, HOW TO START A BLOG Part I and Part II or How to gain Blog followers. So today I would like to speak with you about how to work with brands and be honest with your readers.
LEARN TO SAY “NO”
When you started to get bigger with your blog, brands may approach you. But let me just be honest with you guys, don’t take bad offers. Regardless that it’s free, you don’t have to put it on your blog or in your videos.
I myself had some bad experience before when the company sent me something, but the actual product was such a bad quality. So I decided, to be honest, and answer them, that I don’t want to put it onto my site and show it to my subscribers. It’s very hard in the beginning to say that, but it would be even harder if you lose your subscribers’ trust by posting and promoting products you don’t like. No one says it would be easy. So you have to deal with it if you want to work with good brands and to grow further.
WORK FOR YOUR BLOG
Speaking about it, don’t take every single piece of free stuff, you have been offered. Just because it’s free, you don’t need to make the whole post about it. It’s not worth doing because you will lose your subscribers’ interest and trust.
Most companies should be paying you in additional for you doing a whole video or a whole article for them. They won’t tell you that, though, and you will be essentially doing hard work for free! I didn’t know about that for a long time, but the sooner is the better. So get ready to ask a reward for your work or just say “no” to those products, which you don’t like or the quality of which is too bad to be mentioned.
Once you take a deal, don’t sign any contracts unless you read them, because you don’t want to get stuck reviewing something when it sucks. And remember, take deals only when you absolutely love the product and you believe in it.
BE HONEST
Talking about sponsored posts – they are mostly okay if you know how to do it correctly. You have to review the products properly – talk about pros and cons of it and be honest. When you start saying, how amazing this product is and stuff like that, no one believes you unless it is a really dream product. Don’t try to sell the stuff you don’t even use. It’s so obvious, believe me. People will start to hate you because you’re not honest with them, and even worst, you are not honest with yourself. Just tell the trust, what do you really think of it and people will follow you. So when you do a sponsored post, just do it the right way.
I really hope, these tips are going to be really helpful. If you have any other advice, that I didn’t mention, please share them in the comments below. I would appreciate it so much.
