Autumn is a great season, full of vibrant colours and scents! But at the same time, it’s also a period of constant fluctuation in temperatures and humidity, which can lead to a dehydrated and parched skin. That’s why today I’d like to talk about my top products for great looking skin during the autumn season because your summer beauty essentials will definitely no longer be relevant.
Compare to the summer, there is less moisture in the air, therefore, your skin can start feeling dry. So the first step to proper skin care during the autumn season would be to determine your skin type. I’m sure, it’s not a problem for you, girls. Once you did it, you also need to know, how important it is to moisturise your skin, especially in autumn/winter season. The windy weather and the cold attack our body and face, causing the skin to dry up, peel and even crack. And finding out your moisturiser is obviously a must-have, but you also have to make sure to use it at least twice a day to keep your skin in the best possible condition.
AUTUMN SKINCARE ESSENTIALS
So for my autumn skincare routine, I decided to go for BRAVURA cosmetics and ordered some of their products to help my skin switch to the autumn/winter period. Let’s talk about the exfoliators first, and then move to moisturising and hydrating.
To give you an idea of what are these products all about, just try to imagine that you’re going to visit your cosmetologist, but staying home. Why? Well, I’ll try to explain, how it actually works. It means, that all these products allow you to get the salon results at home simply by performing your beauty routine by yourself. Isn’t it amazing? Literally, you do not only save money but, more importantly, you save your time and you have the possibility to test all the acids first, just to avoid the side effect (which for example cannot be done in the salon).
AHA
Let’s start with the AHA first. AHA is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid and it’s an effective ingredient to get rid of dullness, even out the skin tone and soften fine lines. It takes off all dead skin cells and promotes cell turnover, revealing fresh new skin. And it contains two different Acids. The first one LACTIC ACID 10% is a sort of the milder AHA, is indeed suitable for dry or more dehydrated skin due to its moisturising properties. The second one is GLYCOLIC ACID, and it helps to fade hyperpigmentation from sun damage or acne and exfoliates dry skin without being abrasive.
SALICYLIC ACID
This is another one acid, that I’ve picked up to try. And it works better for oily and acne-prone skin, while the Lactic Acid is more suitable for sensitive and dry skin. So the SALICYLIC ACID stays on the surface of your skin longer giving it fantastic pore clearing capabilities. As this is a regular use peel, it gives far better results on congested skin than a weekly peel. Although salicylic acid is a more powerful peel compare to glycolic acid. This one is less of an irritant and so this solution may be suitable for people that find glycolic acid a little too harsh.
FIRST CLEANSE OIL
This deep cleansing oil is actually one of my favourite and must-have products from BRAVURA. I use it twice a day – in the morning and in the evening before going to bed. And this product actually does miracles – it gently removes make-up and impurities without disturbing your natural oil balance. It also stimulates the removal of toxins and leaves the skin with a lovely glow, which I personally like.
REVITALISING GINSENG TONER
Revitalising Ginseng Toner is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid toner for a normal and sensitive skin. It is ideal to balance your skin’s PH after cleansing and to prepare your skin for treatments or your favourite moisturiser. It helps the skin loosen the excess accumulation of dead skin cells, which cause the skin to appear rough, dull and aged. With regular use, skin appears fresher and more youthful, but you really have to do it daily to see the actual result.
AZULENE MOISTURISER
This unscented, light emollient cream can be used as a final step in a sensitive, normal, combination and oily skin facial treatment. Yes, it works perfectly with all skin types, and it’s one of my must-have moisturisers for this autumn season. The Azulene Moisturiser provides instant moisture relief with a long-lasting soothing effect. It’s also hydrating without being too rich or greasy, and has a light-blue colour, which is absolutely amazing!
I’m more that sure, that these products will help your skin to make a switch to another season a bit easier. Just be sure to follow up with a hydrating moisturiser and you will be set for the autumn months!
