Over the past month I’ve been testing quite a few new products from Kokie Cosmetics. To be honest, it was my first acquaintance with the brand, so I decided to share my thoughts and a first impression to these products with you!
KOKIE COSMETICS | LIPS
Firstly I’d like to speak about their amazing lipsticks! OMG! This is just something incredible. For example in comparison to MAC lipsticks, the quality of Kokie ones might be even better. All the three shades, that I have, are literally amazing. Pinot (№77), High Tea (№57) and Vamp (№78) are absolutely classic and timeless. You can wear them not only during the autumn season, but any time of the year. And I forgot to mention, that they are very chic and elegant. Certainly, they quickly became my favourite lipsticks to wear so far.
All the shades are matte, but not too matte, they look very pretty on the lips. Although the staying power is rather good, but not the best I’ve ever tried – it lasts good 4-6 hours on me, which is great, I think.
KOKIE COSMETICS | NAILS
I have no words to say about their nail polishes. I’ve been loving them so much since I first saw them. And I’ve pretty much been wearing the HEAVENLY one for the majority of the month. Two other shades are mostly festive: the SPARKLER SEND OFF looks absolutely adorable – it’s very light rose gold glitter with the rose sparkles (very hard to describe), the EUPHORIA has a very sheer bronze shade with splashes of green. It might sounds a bit weird, but the colour is fantastic. The formula of these nail polishes is just great; it’s super easy to work with and takes a good 3-4 days to chip without a top coat.
KOKIE COSMETICS | EYES
As you know, almost every makeup look I do, I do it with the winged liner. So having a good liquid eyeliner for me is a must-have. Yes, I tried lots and lots of different eyeliners, and so far I have only one I can rely on. But let’s talk about these two from Kokie Cosmetics. The first one is the Line&Style longwear matte liquid eyeliner. It’s very similar to YSL one, it looks great, very stylish packaging, but the result… well, I was a bit disappointed. Using this particular eyeliner it won’t be that easy to create a wing or just to line the upper lash line, you really have to push. And the colour, well, it’s more dark grey either than black, but maybe you’re looking something like that, and I’m a bit picky.
The second one is the Dynamic Duo, two-in-one, eyeliner and a pen and I would give it 8 out of 10. This product is definitely worth attention. The eyeliner part is absolutely amazing, it’s very easy to work with and it lasts all day and night on me without smudging or anything, which, unfortunately, cannot be said about the pen. The pen part didn’t work for me. The colour is very pale, you cannot use the brush properly because of its shape. So the only good thing about this product is the eyeliner, which can be used as a main instrument.
Overall, I would say, I really like the quality of Kokie Cosmetics products, especially their lipsticks, and I do recommend you to try them out. Maybe the products, that didn’t work for me will work for you. Once again, I’m very picky when it comes to eyeliner, because I do use it on a daily basis and it has to be without a doubt the best one. Certainly I do recommend you to take a look at their Nail polishes as well, they have so many different colours that I’ve never seen before! And look at the packaging, isn’t it nice?
