Today I wanted to raise a topic about how to become a full-time blogger and what is it like to be a successful one. HOW TO BECOME A FULL-TIME BLOGGER

These are some golden rules you have to remember if you really want to be a successful blogger. Know your brand story! Yes, your blog is your brand. So be serious when it comes to your brand and show the right story to the audience. Your Blog is sort of an online magazine for brands, companies and readers. It’s a daily dose of inspiration. To be honest, no one actually cares about your personal life. So you have to build a business, a real brand out of your Blog. You own brand.

But before you do that, ask yourself, who is your ideal reader/follower? It’s very important to know who you’re speaking to and what’s your main message. If you post about fashion and beauty, keep doing it and don’t post about your baby/family/parenting and stuff like that. Don’t mix topics. No one wants to see that unless you’re already a celebrity. Be clear about your business and the work you do.

TIME-CONSUMING

One of the most valuable parts of your work as a blogger is time. Yes, being a full-time blogger is an extremely time-consuming process. You have to plan your work schedule in such a way to have the necessary supply of materials for a few weeks in advance. This, sometimes, can be quite tricky. No matter, if it’s summer or winter, a busy week or a vacation, you have always keep your eye on your workflow and post exactly in time, because your readers are waiting to be entertained. Yes, entertainment is a keyword!

EVENTS, EVENTS, EVENTS

It really does not matter, which type of blogger you are, you have to be active and attend in such events, that can be claimed by your readers. It’s not enough to do OOTD posts or to describe your makeup routine, you have to be as much action on your own field as possible. And don’t be scared to make contact first. Nothing terrible will happen if you write a letter to the organisers of the event and introduce yourself. Otherwise, how do they even know about your and that you exist?

COMMUNICATIONS

How to become a full-time blogger? Being a full-time blogger is all about the communications, and not only online ones. Find the time to go out and meet up with the other bloggers, whether on the events or other occasions. It can be really helpful, because you can share the information with people, who can exactly understand your problems and worries and, of course, share with you some bits of advice. Just remember an easy rule – it’s always better to start communication first, so you have an advantage.

Leave comments on the blogs, you like, join the Blogger communities or Facebook groups, and it will be easier and easier every time. The more you interact with other bloggers and their blogs the more likely they are to interact back and come visit your blog.

GROWING AUDIENCE

The main and, let’s say, the golden rule of all this story is – if you want to be followed by other people, you have to follow them first. This is just a simple rule of reciprocation that is common on all social media formats, whether you want to increase Twitter followers or to attract people to your Facebook page. So, instead of just uploading photos and expecting people to come to you, you also have to put yourself out there.

In other words, you have to be active 24/7. Yes, it’s a very hard work, but no one tells you that it would be easy. So just go ahead and search for users and brands that share your interests. For example, if you would like to increase your Twitter followers, try to look for tags like #styleinspo #effortlesschic #fbloggers #bbloggers #lbloggers and follow these people. Or find some Facebook communities, related to your interests. Believe me, there are a bunch of them. It’s very simple. The more you engage the more exposure you’ll receive. And the next step would be not only growing your following but making a revenue out of your blog.
