Berlin Fashion Week SS19

German fashion scene is vibrant and rather eclectic, but during Berlin Fashion Week it turns into pure madness. Mix and match, luxury and casual, high street brands and local designs, trainers and flip-flops — all of that is Berlin. Still, the leading colours were black, white and yellow.

Back to elegance

Are you excited for what’s coming next? With so much change in the industry, and despite that mix of incredible designs, fabrics and colours, this season saw a move back toward the 50s.

There was a noticeable change that you couldn’t overlook — a return to elegance with very feminine, flattering silhouettes strongly influenced by the 50s.

All in all, a lot of the Berlin Fashion Week shows featured pretty much the same trend for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2019 season — big overbranded prints, excessively oversized shapes and denim will become less common in favour of cleaner silhouettes.

Great topics that occupy this year's Fashion Week in Berlin were the future of fashion in conjunction with technology and sustainability in the fashion industry. One highlight chased the next one, and the unique Berlin Fashion Week flair was omnipresent.

TUTTI FRUTTI

This year among well-known designers like Ivanmann, Ewa Herzog, Marcel Ostertag, and Riani, there were also some new interesting faces — Lena Hoschek, Anja Gockel, etc.

Lena Hoschek showed an immaculate Tutti Frutti Spring/Summer 2019 Collection of incredibly feminine dresses, beautiful long-line shirts, tropical motifs and fruity prints wherever you look.

The "Tutti Frutti" name of the collection proved to be perfectly appropriate. Personally, I fell in love with this collection immediately, since this is definitely the style I prefer among others.

Blogger Events

In addition to all the wonderful Fashion Week stress, there is an overwhelming number of opportunities to take a break and chill a bit at one of the blogger lounges like Hashmag Blogger Lounge, Fashion Blogger Cafe, or Reichert+ VIP Beauty and Fashion Lounge.

This year, brands and influencers met again and used their time to reconnect and exchange the latest news. Selected brand partners from the fields of fashion, beauty and lifestyle presented their latest products and trends. I was happy to see Sophie from @sophdoesnails among the other influencers in attendance. She recently released a new eyeshadow palette for Revolution Makeup — #RevolutionXSoph.

The palette has the perfect mix of 14 mattes and 10 shimmer eyeshadows to create everything from a natural daytime look all the way up to full glam. Literally, this palette is a must-have of the season. So look out for the upcoming giveaway on my YouTube Channel very soon and don’t forget to subscribe!
