Recently I was cordially invited to attend the Frankfurt Style Award Gala this year, which took place on Saturday, September 5th, in Frankfurt Airport. This day Frankfurt Style Award Gala has transformed the Frankfurt Airport into an international hotspot and became the highlight of the Fraport Fashion Weekend.
The unique creations of 60 nominated fashion designers from all over the world were presented there. The Gala Show became an official contest, where the finalists were announced and received their awards. The Frankfurt Style Award plays a magnetic role that underlines the creative as well as cosmopolitan bustling diversity and style of West Germany and has become a new milestone for the whole German Fashion.
So now you can see the first solid steps towards the development of a completely new fashion area in the heart of Europe. Of course, there is a lot to do and to rethink in the direction to reach a whole new level and not to concede to the more famous areas, like Berlin Fashion district and so. But the spirit and the willingness with which the event was being prepared, with no doubts, is appreciated.
