Today I’d like to share with you some tips on how to gain more followers and readers to your Blog and social network. If you already read my BLOGGING TIPS AND ADVICE: PART I, and found there something, that could help you, let’s move on and work directly with your subscribers’ base. Let me tell you one thing, since I run my blog on January 2015, I’ve never use the paid tricks to gain followers, so the numbers that you see on my Bloglovin or Twitter – it’s real people, not bots.

The main and, let’s say, golden rule of all this story is – if you want to be followed by other people, you have to follow them first. This is just a simple rule of reciprocation that is common on all social media formats, whether you want to increase Twitter followers or to attract people to your Facebook. So, instead of just uploading photos and expecting people to come to you, you also have to put yourself out there.

In other words, you have to be active 24/7. Yes, it’s very hard work, but no one tells that it would be easy. So just go ahead and search for users and brands that share your interests. For example, if you would like to increase your Twitter followers, try to look for tags like #fbloggers #bbloggers #lbloggers and follow these people. It’s very simple. The more you engage, the more exposure you’ll receive.

Do not be afraid to do guest posts. It’s quite a normal practice in the initial stage. Invite a popular blogger, writing on your topic, to exchange the articles. For example, ask him/her to write an interesting article specially for your Blog and return the favor by writing a post for his/her Blog, if necessary. I am sure that most of the bloggers would agree, as long as the article is consistent with the theme of the blog. The article should be linked to the author, i.e., to your blog or to your guest blogger’s website. Thus it is possible to attract a significant number of new readers to your blog. But truly say giving these articles makes sense only for newbies. If your blog has already certain popularity, it is not necessary to transmit valuable content to others.

People love to read the lists of any advice, tips and techniques relating to important questions. When a list of key points for the interesting questions is well collected and good sorted in one place, people will use it not only once.

It’s very important to make your Blog an easy-to-navigate place for your readers. Make sure you provide an easy-to-follow option on your own blog by placing follow-me badges wherever it’s possible. For example, if you use Blogger, you can add a free widget, which encourages people to follow your blog in their own Google readers, or by adding “Subscribe” button.

It is advisable to comment on other people blogs. And it is quite necessary not just commenting, like “Nice post” or something with adding your link in addition. Please, have some respect for those people, which Blogs you are commenting on. Your comments must express your interest to the article and the author of this article and it should also intelligently pay attention to you. It increases your chances that other bloggers will mark your blog and go on your link. This traffic from the popular themes of blogs is very useful.

Adding links is one of the best ways to keep your readers interested. So when you’re publishing a new material, write a small introduction with some links to the previous similar materials. It will help your readers navigate easily on your blog and stay online more.

Entertain your readers! It’s one of the most important parts of your blogging. People want to be entertained 24/7. So just make a quick research on your Blog and find out, which articles are more popular and more commented among your readers. And when you’ll find the top themes that are topical at the moment, try to publish more of it or create subject headings. Then it will definitely help your readers to stay tuned.

Also, do not forget to publish your posts frequently and to use attractive photos on consistent basis. As for social networks, like Twitter or Instagram, a few photos per day is more than enough. If you have hundreds of images to share, spread them throughout several days or plan them by using TweetDeck planner.

Just try to keep in mind, that a most important rule of thumb is if you are bored with your content writing, your readers will be as well. That’s why you have to make your Blog as interactive as possible.
