Let’s talk about Sleek MakeUp and why it is actually worth the hype? If you’re not familiar with the Sleek MakeUp brand, I’ll tell you about it. Sleek MakeUp is a well-known high street British makeup brand, established over 20 years ago, and it’s providing highly pigmented, superior quality makeup. However, if you’ve never heard of it, you’ve probably heard about its most famous highlighting palette of all time – the Solstice Highlighting Palette, everyone raves about. Am I right?
So this highlighting palette and the newer version – the Cleopatra’s Kiss, which is more bronze and gold, have become my true summer obsessions. The glow of both palettes is absolutely gorgeous, I can wear it every day and feel incredible! These two are such affordable high-quality mineralising highlighting palettes, that everyone should have in their collection. Both come with one cream shade that really intensified when you use it as a base, and the other shades are rather powdery. All in all, I would say they are simply the best, even in comparison to MAC Cosmetics, or any other.
Sleek MakeUp Matte Me Lip Creams
The 17 perfectly selected colours in the Matte Me range are all gorgeous and there’s a little something for everybody. There are even a few reds and a couple of fine purples which allow you to find the perfect tone. I’ve decided to go for these three – Birthday Suit, Party Pink and Petal.
Birthday Suit is a very tender neutral shade and I would say, this is a perfect Dupe for Kylie Lipsticks in a shade Dolce, for sure. So if you’re looking for something similar in terms of quality but rather affordable, then go for this baby. Party Pink is a very bright pinky red colour, looks very pretty and stays very long. It’s one of the best shades if you want to be the center of attraction at every party! Petal is one of my favourite shades for summer. It’s very nude, I would even say it’s cold rosy nude. And the perfect for everyday use.
All of these lip creams have great formula, they are comfortable to wear and don’t feel dry at all. Despite not being 100% matte, these lipsticks still fall into the aforementioned category as they do dry down to a matte looking finish and last for a good few hours without the need for a touch up. So if you have a chance, I do recommend you to try them out.
Sleek MakeUp Lip VIP
These Sleek Semi-Matte Lip VIP Lipsticks are very soft, creamy and not that glossy. I’ve got two different shades – one for daily usage and one for the night out. The first one is the Private Booth 1002 – just the perfect every day nude shade, one can even compare it with Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. It’s just a gorgeous mauve shade, very wearable and pleasant to apply. The second one – Backstage 1003 – is a beautiful berry red (more like strawberry) shade that will suit all skin tones.
I’m very happy with both of these lipsticks, that I’ve picked up. I only touched them up once in a day and that was probably after about 5 hours, which is great.
Sleek MakeUp i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes
The Sleek eyeshadow palettes are literally amazing, due to their versatility in ranges as well as the good quality and affordability of each one. The general price for Sleek MakeUp palettes is about €10,50, which makes them super desirable. Every palette comes with a mirror, the eyeshadows’ names are always on a flimsy piece of paper inside the case. It also comes with a standard sponge-tipped applicator, which is cheap and nasty, so I do not recommend using it. And all the Sleek palettes come with 12 eyeshadows within the palette itself. So you get a nice mixture of mattes, metallics, shimmers and satins to create a variety of different looks.
This time I decided to go for two palettes – Oh, so Special and Good night, Sweetheart. The first palette Oh, so Special comes with a standard black classic Sleek packaging, there is nothing that differentiates it from any other palette as long as it’s not a limited edition. This is a really lovely warm-toned palette, there are a couple of cool tones but the majority of it are warm-toned shades. So it’s perfect for the very neutral smokey eyes makeup that you can wear every single day.
The second one – Good night, Sweetheart – is a limited edition palette and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It contains 12 lovely warm rosy, dusty rose gold shades (they are on trend right now). Most of the shades are rather shimmery, only few are matte, but all of them are so pretty. The consistency of all these shades is rather good. So you can’t go wrong with it. However, I think, this palette goes better for the night out, when you want to create kind of an alluring look, or for the autumn season, because it has so many dark autumnal shades.
All in all, I’d like to say that Sleek MakeUp is one of the best drugstore makeup brands so far. Everyone can find something there, but I personally recommend you to try out their Matte Me lip creams. You won’t regret!
