Explore Iceland with me. Once I discovered Iceland, I fell in love with it with the first breath and forever. And it’s no surprise because here the most unusual landscapes and scenery: here the lava fields that are covered with soft moss; huge ancient glaciers, down from volcanoes; there is always something erupts, boiling, steaming. You can describe a lot, but believe me, it is worth to see with your own eyes.
Since I was a child and then a teenager, I felt an inexplicable craving for cold and ice. That is why since childhood I liked the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the North and the Snow Queen. I was fascinated by the Arctic Circle and the ideal structure of the snowflakes. And I always dreamed to get into a place where all of this is a reality.
Explore Iceland
South Iceland is the most popular tourist destination. Here are the main attractions and the most stunning views: the huge boulders of lava stretch to the horizon. The Golden Circle is one of the most popular tourists’ routes. It includes Pingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage, here is the oldest parliament in Europe; Gullfoss Falls; Haukadalur valley of erupting geysers and so on. But the most fascinating part of the whole of Iceland is its landscapes and views. One can die for, so beautiful they are.
Another stunning place is Jokulsarlon – one of the famous glacial lagoons, which was formed by the melting glacier. Here you can see icebergs at arm's length as well organize boat trips around the icebergs. The cost is about 4,000ISK (Íslenska krónan) or ca. 27EUR.
Perhaps this is the most impressive place I saw in Iceland and in the whole world. So I’ve decided to share this beauty with you. What do you think? Leave your comments below!
