Reichshof Hotel Hamburg

I’ve never been in Hamburg before, so last weekend we decided to spend some time there and explore the city. But before we get started with the main Hamburg Travel Guide, I thought I would share with you my impressions of the Reichshof Hotel Hamburg, we were staying at.

Reichshof Hotel Hamburg

The great experience started at the moment we arrived to the Reichshof Hotel Hamburg, CURIO Collection by Hilton, located right in front of the Central Station. However, you won’t hear noises from the outside. The hotel is surrounded only by tiny streets and beautiful architecture.

I absolutely adore old hotels with a history! And the Reichshof, featuring an Art Deco design, blending the ‘golden twenties’ with modern elements, is one of them. The lobby of the Reichshof Hotel is rather elegant with a hint of aristocratic chic. Opened in 1910, it was the largest and most modern hotel in Europe in the classical patrician style.

The Rooms

For those of you, who may consider staying at this lovely hotel, I’d like to notice that each room is uniquely decorated with fine materials and neutral hues. The rooms are equipped with coffee machines and welcome drinks, lovely designed bathrooms with giant showers, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, safes and, of course, HDTVs.

In addition to the beautiful decor and incredibly snuggly king size beds, the location cannot be beat – within walking distance are Alster Lake, the Rathaus, shops, restaurants, museums and galleries.

Restaurant and Bar

The breakfast, served at Stadt Restaurant, is very delicious and versatile – there is a huge selection and something for every taste. Head Chef Mario Regensburg and the team offer typical German dishes alongside international selections, with a focus on organic and regional ingredients. Also there are a lot of vegan-friendly options to choose from, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

This perfectly located, charming hotel also offers a high tea at Emil’s bar. They serve a great selection of teas and biscuits, you can enjoy after some shopping at the nearby boutiques.

Final Thoughts

Everything about the Reichshof Hotel Hamburg was a pure luxury. We enjoyed every minute of our stay there! I’m sure, there is no doubt that the Reichshof Hotel Hamburg is the premier choice for accommodations. Not only because of it’s location with multiple subway lines and all possible touristic attractions around, the hotel itself sets an incredible standard for opulence! So if you would like to have a great service, while exploring the city, then Reichshof Hotel is the best option.

A big thanks to ComeToHamburg Programme and The Reichshof Hotel Hamburg for such an incredible accommodation during our stay and for making dreams a reality.
